What were the most important events you organized this year?
Certainly, a significant event was the establishment of a conference in Emilia Romagna, concerning vocational training on labor services. This conference was attended by prominent politicians, who shared and explained their ideas.
What projects are you planning to implement soon?
We would like to adopt a development plan as far as meetings between companies and young people are concerned in order to guarantee their obtaining diplomas at a professional level. If the students were able to achieve this result, they would have greater prospects in the workplace. In this direction, the Cnos-FAP Lombardia has implemented a project for the complete renewal of the site and the application procedures for the job offer to guarantee young people more possibilities. Courses have also been set up to prepare and train staff to be able to communicate and interact.
What were the toughest challenges you faced?
The toughest challenge we have faced regarded our capacity to adapt to new technologies and companies' demands. Another challenge for us has been to try to grow in the capacity to coordinate pupils and companies and to continue to improve formation of the companies themselves, which are still unaware of their opportunities. Professional training therefore wants to offer a service in support of companies.
How can one guarantee the possibility of choice to everybody?
In Lombardy it is difficult to guarantee everyone the possibility of choosing their own formation path because, due to economic difficulties or a lack of funds, families are not able to allow their children to undertake the path of study they would like.
How can apprenticeships function for the work placement of young people?
The apprenticeship is closely linked to the activity of the company that guarantees all the resources to be able to establish it.
How are adequate resources for vocational training guaranteed?
Currently, vocational training is financed with national resources and with European social funds. It should be fundamental for a child to freely choose his or her education and training path as a form of genuine respect for students as people.
