Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic - September 2019 - On 4 September Fr Ivo Coelho, General Councilor for Formation, visited the Salesian Province of the Antilles “San Juan Bosco“ (ANT), based in the city of Santo Domingo, accompanied by Fr Edison Capellán, ANT Provincial Vicar. Fr Coelho met the Salesians in formation at the “Hogar Escuela Santo Domingo Savio”, one of the country's most complete that serves about 3,000 children, adolescents and young people, with elementary and technical schools, boarding schools, the oratory youth center and the Salesian prenovitiate. The visit ended with the Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr Javier Orengo, a new Puerto Rican priest, and concelebrated by five Salesians from the community.
