El Houssoun, Lebanon - September 2019 - The Provincial Congress of Salesian Cooperators of the Middle East takes place from 6 to 9 September, with about 100 participants from Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Jordan. Present: World Coordinator Antonio Boccia, World Councilor of the Region, Carlo Pellegrino, World Delegate, Fr Giuseppe Casti, Salesian Provincial of the Middle East (MOR), Fr Alejandro León, and of Delegates Fr Dany Keyro and Sister Mercedes Martin. The congress centers on the theme: "I can ... thanks to you", on which the reflection on the vocation and mission of the Salesian Cooperator takes place today. Moving, the testimonies of the Salesian Cooperators of Syria, who have remained faithful and engaged in service to the poorest in dramatic situations. The congress, which takes place after a long pause of 17 years, thus opens a new path of future and hope for the Association in this Region and for the whole Salesian Family in the Middle East.
