Rondonópolis, Brazil - 21 June 2019 - The Salesians Vanderson de Souza Gomes and Douglas Chrystiano Silva Souza were ordained priests by the auxiliary archbishop of Manaus, Msgr. Edmílson Tadeu Canavarros dos Santos, SDB, last June 21, at the parish of St. John the Baptist in Rondonópolis. Fr Douglas then celebrated his first Mass on June 23 in the parish of St. Anthony in the city of Barra do Garças, while Fr Vanderson celebrated the first Mass, again on June 23, in the same parish where he received the ordination.
