Cebu, Philippines - 6 June 2019 - In May, the "bABBAd 2019" program was held. It was attended by 17 lay people, young animators, members, students and teachers from various Salesian houses. The program included total immersion, for 10 days, in the families of the villages of Borongan and Maydolong, in the eastern part of Samar, wherein they experienced the life of the rural community. Before being sent to their respective families, participants received an orientation session and an image of Mary Help of Christians they then gave to the host families. At the end of this experience there was also a moment of sharing when families expressed their feelings, challenges and what they learned from this activity; while the youths animated a cultural show at the Salesian community. The last act was a solemn concluding Eucharist, presided by Fr Arvin D. Abatayo.
