The morning started with an enthronement ceremony of Mary Help of Christians by Fr McEnroe Lopes, SDB, followed by an animated Rosary, with the help of a PPT presentation, specially prepared for the event. Thereafter, Fr Goyal hosted many Marian Games and Quizzes for the members, based on the Rosary and the life events of our Blessed Mother.
The enthroned statue of Mary Help of Christians was then carried out in a solemn procession led by Fr Goyal and the President, Mr John Mathais, from the Provincial House to the Crypt, in the Shrine of Don Bosco’s Madonna. The feast Mass was celebrated in the Crypt by Fr Glenford Lowe, SDB, Rector of the Provincial House, who, through his beautiful homily, based on true life testimonies, instilled in all ADMA members present a strong belief that “Mother Mary is still alive and amongst us, today and forever.”
After the Mass, all members joined in the cake-cutting ceremony by Fr Glen and Fr Goyal announcing the beginning of our 10th anniversary celebration later this year, on 8 September; this was followed by a festive meal.
The Mumbai Unit of ADMA (Association of Mary Help of Christians), under the able guidance of the spiritual director, Fr Anthony Goyal, SDB, had earlier this year hosted a first ever interstate ADMA Mumbai – Goa Meet, and a Lenten Pilgrimage. 14 member-aspirants of the ADMA Mumbai unit made their commitment on the feast of Don Bosco on 31 January 2019 in the presence of our Provincial, Fr Godfrey D’Souza, SDB.
