Levana, Batel, Noah, Matisse, Saman, Virgile ... They are the protagonists. In the beginning, there were 12: three Jews, three Christians, three Muslims, and three atheists and they had decided to call themselves "Children of Mercy", on the advice of their mentor, Salesian Fry Benjamin Dewitte, strongly affected by this word.
Fr Dewitte was also involved in composing music, but the text of the first song "Miséricorde" is the children's work. They wrote it based on what they were already experiencing: a true peace, a climate of brotherhood, born of sharing the same spaces, needs, aspirations.
Along the way, they also realized that their action was an effective response to terrorism and attacks, an act of resistance to death.
The video of "Miséricorde", shared on social networks, then began to be replicated and made them known to a wider audience. They were thus invited to the programs "The Voice Kids" and "La France a un incroyable Talent", France's Got Talent, and their success gradually grew.
Today there are about forty of those who meet every Sunday evening to share the same passion, and have become the "Cap Cœur". Some parents also voluntarily provide guidance and service to the group, so that "Cap Cœur" also has its extension: the "Cap Cœur Family".
The project is fully in the spirit of Don Bosco's preventive pedagogy: active, creative and responsible young people, accompanied by an animation team made up of adults, who create the conditions to live together in an atmosphere of welcome, respect, friendship, service and joy.
The next engagements of the children of "Cap Cœur" are to bring a bit of color to the large flats of Argenteuil, to continue performing at various musical events, and to record an entire album at a professional quality level.
A first fruit of this new path is their latest artistic creation: "Couleur Love", created as a duet with their patron - Yoann FreeJay, the winner of the second season of "The Voice" - which answers to the darkness of pessimism and violence via the bright colors of the music of joy and friendship.
