La Cobanerita, Guatemala - February 2019 - 17 people went to the Q'eqchi community closest to the parish of San Benito of Palermo, that is the village of "La Cobanerita", accompanied by Fr Miguel Giorgio, SDB, and the volunteer missionary Lorena Gray de Reichenbach, Salesian Cooperator. As soon as they arrived, the group began to invite all the children and young people of the village to go to the Salesian oratory, which for the third year in a row opened its activities, thus bringing Don Bosco's charism to La Cobanerita. At the end of the day the Eucharist was celebrated, in Spanish and in the Maya dialect q'eqchi, accompanied by the sound of the marimba.
