Panama - Inauguration of Don Bosco Museum of Valdocco Project
Panama City, Panama - January 2019 - In order to encourage young people to follow the life of holiness proposed by Don Bosco, a museum on the life of the Father and Teacher of Youth was inaugurated in the Basilica Don Bosco in Panama as part of the "Valdocco Project" . The ceremony was presided over by the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, together with the Salesians participating in WYD2019. "The entire museum has some infographics to encourage young people to achieve holiness," said Maria Montenegro, the architect responsible for the Valdocco Project. The museum is divided into three exhibition rooms, self-guided, with a capacity of 10-15 people per room, for a maximum of 50 visitors. The first room is related to "Don Bosco Yesterday", about his life; the second, "Don Bosco Today", is dedicated to the Salesian world; the third refers to all the Salesian challenges for the future with youth. Finally, there is an interactive room, containing a screen displaying Salesian messages and modules for interacting.
