The Sectors of PG and Economy met from Friday morning 13th to Saturday 14th, with the CISI Presidency, chaired by the Councillor for the Mediterranean Region, Fr. Stefano Martoglio, in the presence of the six Provincials of Italy, the Vice-Provincial of UPS and the Provincial of the Middle East, together with the three coordinators of CISI Sectors: PG, Formation and Economy.
Some of the themes dealt with are listed here below:
- introduction of management control in some houses of the Provinces;
- a new management culture and guidelines on the procedures to follow in front of new economic and financial challenges;
- proposal of a seminar of study on the Salesian Oratory – Youth Centre;
- presentation of a study on the theme “Salesians and the web”;
- organization and management of the National Congrtess on the Educative-Pastoral Community (Rome, February 16th-19th, 2017);
- stages and contents of the vocation animation path on personal accompaniment in Italy;
- development of Salesian missionary animation in Italy.
In the afternoon of Saturday 14th there was the encounter with the Mother-Provincials of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Italy, a moment of fraternity and sharing structured on two main themes: the path that is being promoted by the Dicastery of Youth Ministry (PG) on the theme of “Youth Ministry and the Family”; and the outline for the proposal of youth ministry of Salesian Italy 2017-2018, on joyful belonging to the Church.
To guide the journey of the following months, on January 15th-16th the works of CISI Presidency proceeded dealing with the attention to the Salesian School, the Centres of Vocational Training, and the involvement for a more assertive and significant presence in Europe.
The Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, met the Provincials on various occasions and animated a space of dialogue in the morning of Monday, January 16th. The Presence of the Vicar General, Fr. Francesco Cereda, and of the other General Councillors during some convivial moments was greatly appreciated.
