“Many persons await us because they are in need of a particular accompaniment in these complex years. Looking at the family turns for our groups into a challenge to which we must respond with generosity and wisdom,” was the comment of the Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family, don Eusebio Muñoz.
The 280 participants, who come from the five continents and who are a valid representation of the 31 groups that constitute the Salesian Family today, will commence their activities tomorrow afternoon with the introductory greetings and the first conference, of biblical nature, that will be delivered by Bible specialist, Fr. Juan José Bartolomé, on the “Family Experience of Jesus of Nazareth”.
Friday morning the Rector Major will present the Strenna 2017 and soon afterwards Fr. Fabio Attard, Councillor for Youth Ministry will explain the link that unites Youth Ministry and the Families. During the day there will also be two sessions to share some good experiences done by members of the Salesian Family in the context of Family Ministry.
On Saturday 21st, it will be the turn of theologian Fr. Andrea Bozzolo SDB, who will present a Salesian reading of the Apostolic Exhortation “Amoris Laetitia”, with a conference that will also be followed by two sessions for the presentation of good experiences.
Finally, on Sunday 22nd, there will be an assessment of the works and the Rector Major will pronounce the concluding speech.
Being a family encounter, great significance will also be given to all convivial moments, the animated evenings and the various celebrations, as true and real signs of a family, the family of Don Bosco, that lives and grows together.
