Medellín, Colombia – March 2025 – In an effort to strengthen the culture of Human Rights within Salesian houses, the Provincial Human Rights Commission successfully organized a Online Meeting on the theme: Youth for Human Rights, creating a space for dialogue and reflection.

More than 60 young leaders & representatives from various Salesian presences participated in this event, guided by Salesian Brother Juan Carlos Echavarría and psychologist Johana Villada. The interactive sessions focused on promoting and protecting human rights in educational and pastoral communities.

The participants analyzed current challenges and explored ways to foster youth leadership that promotes a culture of respect and rights within Salesian presences and houses.

The Salesian Province of Medellín reaffirmed its commitment to a transformative education that integrates human rights as a central pillar. Through youth advocacy and networking, Salesian communities strive to build a more just and supportive world.
