Turin, Italy – March 2025 – About seventy new staff from Salesian institutions of the “San Marco” Province of Northeast Italy (INE) participated in an intensive formation experience from March 3 to 5, in the Salesian sites of Colle Don Bosco and Valdocco. The program aimed to strengthen their knowledge of Salesian charism and deepen their educational and pastoral identity within Salesian communities.

The initiative was led by Fr. Emanuele Zof, Delegate for Youth Ministry of the INE Province, with the support of Fr. Davide Miani and Fr. Lorenzo Piola, and guided through the sites by Fr. Enrico Lupano. On March 3, the group visited Colle Don Bosco, focusing on Don Bosco’s birthplace and the Church dedicated to him. Key topics covered included John Bosco’s childhood, his connection with family and environment, the Dream at the age of Nine, and his early educational attempts.

On March 4, participants explored the places where Don Bosco spent his early years in Turin, including significant stops at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi and the Refuge of the Marchioness of Barolo. At Valdocco, the heart of the Salesian mission, they visited the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians and the Don Bosco House Museum.

On March 5, there was a moment of personal reflection and group sharing, allowing participants to internalize their experiences. The program concluded with the Ash Wednesday Mass at the Church of St. Francis de Sales, presided over by Fr. Davide Miani.
