Broadcast every Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, EVA is produced in collaboration with various Commissions of the Episcopal Conference of Madagascar (CEM- Conferenza Episcopale del Madagascar). As its name suggests, it has an educational purpose, covering a wide range of topics such as development, health, family, environment, justice, and culture. Experts regularly contribute to the program, often returning each month to delve deeper into specific subjects.
Thanks to this approach, the program has gained great popularity in recent years. To ensure its continued success, the training session provided an opportunity for hosts and guest experts to enhance their skills with the support of Radio Don Bosco’s staff.
Transition to Digital Broadcasting
At the same time, Radio Don Bosco is expanding its reach by making its programs available online. To adapt to this new format, hosts have been trained in live-on-camera communication techniques and best practices for engaging video audiences.
Moving from traditional radio broadcasting to video presents a significant challenge for professionals accustomed to addressing only listeners. However, all involved have approached this transition with enthusiasm and professionalism. The afternoon session of the training day was dedicated to hands-on exercises to put their new skills into practice.
Before the official launch of this exciting digital expansion, pilot episodes and test broadcasts will take place over several weeks. Ultimately, content will be available on YouTube and Facebook, the two most popular social media platforms in Madagascar.
Looking ahead, Radio Don Bosco plans to bring all its major programs online. To stay updated on its digital transformation, follow the RDB LIVE Facebook page and be part of this new chapter in Malagasy media!
