Jaboatão, Brazil - February 2025 - Last weekend, from 7 to 9 February, the General Meeting of the Colônia Salesiana São Sebastião youth ministry in the province of Recife, Brazil (BRE) was held at the Colônia Salesiana São Sebastião in Jaboatão. About 40 participants attended the event, including the Salesians in charge of the local Youth Ministry and their teams (Vocational Animation Service, Salesian Family, Oratory, SYM, Missionary Animation), as well as some coordinators of the provincial teams. On the first day, Fr Anderson Avelino da Silva helped the group to reflect on the relevance of pastoral care in the Pastoral Education Community. On the following days, the participants were grouped according to the institutions they came from: Schools, Parishes and Social Activities. These groups had the opportunity to evaluate the path they are following and define new goals for the coming year. Various materials were presented at the meeting: Pastoral Plan for Schools, Booklet for New Co-workers and Booklet for the Salesian Youth Movement. The meeting ended on Sunday with Mass and the blessing of Mary Help of Christians.
