For seven years, the Américo Buaiz Institute has been active in the social development of Espírito Santo, using its experience and opportunities in the field of communication to give visibility to third sector organisations. In 2024, IAB focused its efforts on four pillars: professionalisation, sports, inclusion of people with disabilities and mental health. This choice made it possible to increase the impact of the work of partner organisations through strategic support.
CESAM was one of the institutions supported in the segment of professionalisation of young people, and the collaboration realised with IAB made it possible to have a presence in various media and the dissemination of content in social networks, television reports, short institutional videos, interviews in radio and television programs, as well as the realisation of some guided tours of the Salesian centre's facilities. IAB's investment in 2024 exceeded one million reais (over 150 thousand euro), covering all the institutions supported, including CESAM. And the Institute's digital presence also stood out, reaching more than 4,000 Instagram accounts.
Paula Resende Martins, Executive Director of IAB, emphasised the transformative impact of professionalisation. ‘What impressed me most was the involvement of teenagers and the excellent work of the institutions supported in this area,’ she said.
For 2025, the IAB plans to expand its reach. Eight new institutions will be selected, chosen with public participation, and the IAB board has already signalled its commitment to continue listening to the requests of partner organisations and its intention to increase the visibility and results of the social projects implemented in the State of Espírito Santo by their partner institutions, just like the Salesians at CESAM.
Through this collaboration, CESAM and IAB reaffirm their commitment to invest in the future of young people in Espírito Santo, aligning communication and social impact.
