Colombia – 2024 Evaluation and Planning Meeting in the Salesian Province of St Peter Claver in Bogotá
Bogotá, Colombia – November 2024 - The 2024 Evaluation and Planning Meeting of the Saint Peter Claver Province of Bogotá, Colombia (COB) took place on 7 and 8 November at the Inter-Institutional Centre for Salesian Spirituality (CIES) in Bogotá. The main objective of the meeting was to evaluate the educative and pastoral work carried out during the year and plan activities for the year 2025, with a long-term strategic vision. Led by Fr John Freddy Hernández, SDB, and accompanied by the Pastoral and Communication team, the meeting focused on presenting the progress of the various efforts and delegations, highlighting the common work in the Salesian mission. In addition to the presentations of the results, the meeting offered a space for active participation, where participants were able to share knowledge and suggestions to improve processes both for the next year and for the following six years. The meeting was intended to strengthen the strategic planning and implementation of the Province, ensuring the effectiveness of the Salesian mission in all Salesian presences. This was not only an opportunity to evaluate the results, but also a space to reflect deeply on the path taken and the future of the Province. Stress was on the importance of continuing to learn, improve and work collaboratively towards continuous improvement. With renewed commitment, we reaffirm the purpose of fulfilling Don Bosco's dream: to educate and evangelise young people, keeping his legacy and mission alive in every action carried out.
