India – Salesian schools in Nagaland come together in a spirit of healthy competition and culture

Dimapur, India – October 2024 – A meeting entitled: "All Don Bosco Schools Nagaland Meet 2024" took place from 24 to 26 October, which brought together students from all the Salesian schools in Nagaland at the Don Bosco secondary school in Dimapur. The event, focused on “Students for change”, showcased a dynamic blend of athletic skills, cultural heritage and academic excellence. Fr TP James, President of the Nagaland Salesian Schools network, welcomed the participants in a celebration of youth talent and regional traditions. Over the three days, the young students engaged in dance competitions, football and volleyball tournaments, quizzes, prize games, poetry recitals and spelling contests. Fr Theotimus Lakra, Director of Don Bosco Youth & Educational Services (DBYES), was also present for the occasion, as a guest of honour, praising the commitment of the participants to achieve excellence. The event marked another successful chapter in promoting collaboration and cultural pride among the network of schools in Nagaland.
