Socialisation sessions were held in August in La Paz (14); Sucre (15); Santa Cruz Nord (20); Santa Cruz (21) and Cochabamba (30).
Each event was attended by lay people engaged in Salesian works and members of the Salesian Family, both lay and religious, who participated with the aim of knowing and better understanding the Safeguarding Policy, which will be implemented in the short term in all the Salesian presences in the Country.
The presentations were given by Fr Álvaro Rocabado, Vice-Provincial of the Salesian Province of Bolivia, who explained in detail the Safeguarding Policy, and Fr Henry Córdova, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry, who shared his vision of Youth Ministry and the Preventive System. Both speakers provided valuable information on measures and protocols aimed at protecting minors and promoting a safe environment in all Salesian works.
Printed materials of the Safeguarding Policy were distribute during the events, as well as posters and posters, to facilitate the implementation and dissemination of these measures in each of the Salesian works.
The implementation of this institutional policy provides for training through an academic web platform, which will be periodically updated and monitored to ensure that all employees receive the necessary training in this area.
The socialisation and implementation of this policy underlines the continuous commitment of the Salesians of Don Bosco and the Salesian Family to the integral protection of children, adolescents and young people, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all members of their Educative and Pastoral Communities.
