After the pandemic, which forced Past Pupils to renew their positions through an online platform, it is the first face-to-face meeting that will bring together all the world leadership of those who are grateful for the education received at the Don Bosco school.
"The objective of this global event is to bring together Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco from all over the world" says the President of the World Confederation, Bryan Magro, "to celebrate our charism, our identity, our spirituality and our mission. It will be a unique moment in which many countries from various regions will come together in a family spirit and express their love and gratitude to Don Bosco. We want to reflect on the past to plan for the future."
"We want to be a vast movement at the service of the Church and the Salesian Family in particular" says Salesian Brother Dominic Duc Nam, World Delegate of the Past Pupils of Don Bosco, "to witness how good believers and upright citizens can be today. It will also be the occasion to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Past Pupils which we did not celebrate due to Covid-19; this world assembly will be a special occasion to honor our rich heritage and to celebrate, together with the Salesian Family, the 200th anniversary of the Dream of Don Bosco. Participating in this assembly means sharing a mission, enriching it with the various local experiences, modifying the Statute and making us competitive in the challenges of the 21st century".
In the five days, the delegates will have the opportunity to visit the places where the Saint of the young people was the leading figure. In addition, for non-participants, it will be possible to follow the work of the assembly online.
