As usual, there will be an important meeting, which will take place this year in San Giovanni Rotondo at the Hotel Gran Paradiso, through which the Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry, Fr Giuseppe Russo, will deliver to the Salesians, the laity and the young people whohave significant roles in the EPC in coordinating pastoral sectors, the programmatic and pastoral elements useful for starting activities at the local level.
Christian hope, vocational dimension, missionary spirit and attention to the EPCs will be the key coordinates of the Salesian mission to the South in the new year. To offer the participants of the Conference valuable insights in this regard, will be the theological, catechetical and pedagogical-pastoral addresses by two speakers:
- fr Andrea Lonardo, university professor and director of the Service for Culture and the University of the Diocese of Rome, who will explore Christian hope and how to educate young people to this fundamental virtue;
- Fr Enrico Ponte, director of novices at Colle Don Bosco, who will focus on the challenges and opportunities to accompany young people in understanding their vocation.
The central moments of the three days will be the synodal discussion tables, which will urge the conference participants to exchange points of view and reflect on the vocational dimension in the areas of Parishes, Oratories, Marginalistion and Disadvantage, Schools and Vocational Training Centres.
There will also be a presentation of the provincial planning for 2024-25 and the open dialogue of the Assembly with the Provincial.
