Cambodia – A seminar to explore middle age
Phnom Penh, Cambodia – August 2024 – The Commission for Formation of the Cambodia Salesian Delegation (THA), animated by Fr. Ceferino Ledesma, organized a seminar on midlife at the newly established Salesian House of the Delegation in Phnom Penh. The seminar, which was attended by twelve Salesian missionaries, was led by Rev. Msgr. Ramon Masculino Jr. of the Archdiocese of Jaro, Philippines, and Psychologist Dr. Cynthia Baga of GAMOT Resources, which focuses on healing from the roots through an integrative approach to celebrating human development and transformation. The three days of activities included holistic topics such as the tasks and challenges of middle age, spirituality, priesthood and happiness in the face of the passing of time. These discussions were inspired by Carl Gustav Jung's archetypal images, such as the person, shadow, and anima/animus. At the end of the meeting, Fr Roel Soto celebrated Mass, while Fr Ceferino Ledesma and Fr Samnang thanked the speakers for their dynamic reflections.
