Almost at the end of the General Council's Summer Plenary Session, now a few days from the end, the members of the General Council have taken this space for prayer and reflection immersed in nature.
The San Biagio House of Prayer is a community of the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), where, at the school of St Benedict, the spirit and prayer are cared for. In the valley of the River Aniene St Benedict of Norcia began his experience of cenobitic religious life. The house of San Biagio, located right above the Sacro Speco of St Benedict allows those who stop there to have the same experience of God in contemplation of Creation.
During this weekend of prayer and silence, the Rector Major and the General Council shared the life of prayer with another group of lay people who were taking an iconography course in San Biagio; iconography as a school of spirituality and prayer
With gratitude to the FMA from the San Biagio community for this possibility, the Rector Major and his Council then returned to the Salesian Headquarters community - Sacred Heart, Rome, for the end of the work of the General Council's Summer Session.
