South Korea – Summer Seminar for Salesians in Initial Formation
Naeri, South Korea – July 2024 – A summer seminar for Salesians in Initial Formation in the Salesian Province of South Korea (KOR) was held in Naeri, Taean, from Monday 1 to Thursday 4 July. The seminar, focusing on The Salesian Family, was attended by numerous young Salesians in Initial Formation, accompanied by the Commission dedicated to them and Fr Timothy Won Chol Choi, KOR Provincial. During these days full of events and activities, the young men were able to listen to the testimonies of representatives of the various groups of the Salesian Family, noting how the Salesian mission, inherited from Don Bosco, is carried out in very diverse and enriching ways. Representatives of the Salesian Cooperators, the Past Pupils, the Association of Mary Help of Christians, the Volunteers of Don Bosco (VDB) and the Caritas Sisters of Jesus took part in the various days. Participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the lush nature of Naeri, sharing moments of dialogue and play. Following this, Salesians in Initial Formation will be able to put into practice what they learned during the seminar in the various places of summer apostolate to which they will be assigned.
