The workshop aimed to equip the young Salesians with the necessary skills to become effective digital missionaries. In our fast-evolving digital age, it is crucial to harness the power of media to preach the Good News and engage with the wider community.
The participants learned essential techniques in: video production (capturing high-quality videos using mobile devices), photography (techniques for taking compelling photos that tell a story), video and photo editing (editing tools and processes to enhance visual content), content mixing (combining different media forms to create engaging narratives).
Fr. Maciej Makula SDB and Miss Aleksandra Stankiewicz, both experts in the field of mobile journalism, provided hands-on training and insightful tips on how to utilize everyday mobile devices to produce professional-grade content. Their guidance was invaluable in helping the participants to understand the workings of digital storytelling.
This MoJo workshop is a testament to our ongoing commitment to embrace modern tools for evangelization and communication. The skills acquired during these three days will empower the young Salesians to create impactful digital content, fostering a deeper connection with our communities and spreading the Good News more effectively.
As the workshop concluded, the participants left with renewed enthusiasm and a fresh set of skills ready to be applied in their missionary work. We are excited to see how these new digital missionaries will leverage their training to innovate and inspire in their future endeavors.
Let us continue to support and encourage these young talents as they navigate the digital landscape and carry forward the mission of the Salesian congregation in Sri Lanka and beyond.
