This is the last narrative chronicle of their journeys, as on 22 and 23 May the Regional concluded the visitation cycle with the meeting of the Rectors at the Provincial House.
“It has been a visit full of moments and meetings during every hour of these brief days spent in our house,” said the Salesians of Zárate, where Fr. Romero was present on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10. “Thank you very much for your closeness and for bringing the presence of Don Bosco among us! This is your home, come back whenever you want!”
Among the most significant stops of his recent travels, Fr. Romero visited the Salesian Agricultural Schools in the Province of Buenos Aires starting Tuesday, May 14. During these visits, he got to know the activities of the Agricultural School, the various animation and service teams, and the students. He visited the productive areas of the fields and attentively listened to the underlying educational-pastoral project.
“We have been able to live an experience that enriches and guides us to continue working for and with the young people and their families in the realization of many dreams,” said Ms. María Cristina Martínez, Director General of the Agricultural Schools, after the visit.
On Sunday, May 19, the Regional Councilor undertook his final journey to Patagonia as part of the Extraordinary Visit to the Salesian house in Río Gallegos, where he stayed between May 20 and 21. Welcomed by its Rector Fr. Héctor Acosta, he got to know the activities carried out there and the vast range of activities available around the work.
Meanwhile, on Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14, Fr. Bauer visited the San Miguel Salesian House in La Plata. He then went to the nearby civil district of Ensenada to visit the local Salesian house and the one belonging to the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. There, he concluded his visit with a meeting with the animators of the Salesian Youth Movement, encouraging the young people to find ways of unity and service for the boys and girls participating in the various initiatives of the houses.
In this way, Fr. Romero and Fr. Bauer concluded their journey through the Salesian houses of the ARS Province.
