Nairobi, Kenya – May 2024 - Nineteen deacons were ordained at the  in Don Bosco Thelogate in Utume, Nairobi, by Archbishop Philip Nyolo, Archdiocese of Nairobi. There were 14 Salesians of Don Bosco and 5 from the Mariannhill Missionary Congregation. During his homily, the Archbishop urged the deacons to serve the Lord with joy and to serve him with the spirit of the diaconate throughout their lives. Present at the ceremony was Fr George Tharaniyil, Provincial of East Africa (AFE), who thanked the Archbishop and congratulated the 19 deacons for the great step taken.
