Lviv, Ukraine – May 2024 - The Fourth Provincial Chapter of the Salesian Vice-Province of the Byzantine Rite (UKR) ended in Lviv with the celebration of the Moleben (Marian celebration in the Eastern Rite) in honour of the Holy Mother of God and Help of Christians. This took place from 17 to 19 May, inspired by the theme of the 29th General Chapter (GC29): "Passionate about Jesus Christ, dedicated to young people. Living our Salesian vocation faithfully and prophetically.“ The Provincial Chapter experienced three intense days of work, rich in reflection, insights, sharing and proposals on the topics covered. In addition to the comparison and study of the three core areas related to the main theme of the GC29, in a climate of fraternal exchange of opinions and proposals, the main topics concerning the life and apostolate of the UKR Vice-Province were discussed and the guidelines for its future were outlined. In conclusion, a delegate was elected to participate in the GC29, and his substitute. In the prayer to Mary Help of Christians at the end of the Fourth Provincial Chapter, the Chapter members invoked Our Lady of difficult times, begging her for the gift of peace in Ukraine and in the whole world.
