13 May 2024

Panama City, Panama - May 2024 – As part of the Extraordinary Visitation to the Province of Central America (CAM), conducted on behalf of the Rector Major, Fr Walter Jara visited the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Panama City from 6-8 May. Fr Jara had the opportunity to address the educational community during the "Good morning" greeting, where he was able to share his motivating message that was received by all those present with great joy. During the school visit, Fr Jara was accompanied by the principal, Fr José Manuel Solano, and had the opportunity to interact with students from various educational levels, teachers and members of the coordination team. He was pleasantly impressed by the innovation and transformation project that the school has been carrying out for some years, with the new classrooms and spaces, equipment installed in the workshops and the students' skills in its management, which positions the institute as the best educational offer in the technical area in Panama. From classrooms to recreational spaces, the Visitor was able to appreciate the dynamic learning environment and community spirit that characterises the Salesian institution.
