Myanmar – Computer training courses for local youth

07 May 2024

Anisakan, Myanmar – May 2024 - Basic computer skills are one of the requirements that today's young people constantly require in order to enter both the field of education and any other professional sphere of global society. Just to acquire basic computer skills, many young locals have to travel hundreds of kilometers to big cities, such as Yangon and Mandalay. Expenses incurred for travel, food, and lodging are always much more expensive than expenses for computer training. In addition, being away from your family can also lead to social problems unnecessarily, if you are not cautious and cautious enough about the threats to city life. With all these underlying reasons and to respond concretely to the needs of young people, the Don Bosco Media Team since last summer has been offering computer training courses for young people, in which the organisation itself provides laptops for the training of boys and girls in different locations. So far, over 150 young people have benefited from the training courses. Among these, about 50 young people have already obtained the certificates of completion of the courses.
