Italy – The Casa Don Bosco Museum joins the National Days of the Houses of Famous People 2024

04 April 2024

(ANS - Turin) – Two days dedicated to the places that preserve the memory and legacy of the "Greats". It is to celebrate these places full of charm that the Associazione Nazionale Case della Memoria has decided to promote throughout Italy the National Days of the houses of Italian famous people, scheduled for next Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April 2024. An event that this year has reached its third edition and which has been joined by the Casa Don Bosco Museum, custodian of the memory of the Father and Teacher of Youth.

Small historic houses or villas, houses or real museums, permanent residences or summer "shelters", where you can breathe a different atmosphere, where History mixes with the present, to keep alive the memory of those who, although no longer alive, still have much to say – all ideally together for two days under the same banner: enhancing the memory of the past to pass it on to new generations. This is the meaning of the initiative that includes the Salesian museum at Valdocco, Turin among the participants.

This year the event was sponsored by ICOM Italia – the main Italian network of museums and museum professionals – and the Ministry of Culture, and will be dedicated to "Memories on the move".

Until 5 April 2024, you can register to be involved in the initiative at the Casa Don Bosco Museum by sending an email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
