Barcelona, Spain – February 2024 – The winners of the 32nd edition of the "Edebé" Prize for literature for children and young people are Jossan Hatero, with his novel "Nico's War", and Daniel Hernández Chambers, with his novel "King of the Mountain". "Nico's War" denounces the absurdity of war from the point of view of an 11-year-old boy who, due to an administrative error, is called to the front. In "King of the Mountain", some teenagers from a juvenile detention centre must learn to survive alone in the wild after a lethal virus has spread on the planet. These are two different stories which delve into the complexity of human behaviour.
