New Orleans, United States – February 2024 – The Archbishop Shaw High School band, a high school in Marrero administered by the Salesians, has had great success in events organised in Louisiana for Mardi Gras". The band participated in four parades in different locations in the New Orleans metropolitan area. On Saturday, 10 February, the band traveled to Kenner, a suburb of New Orleans, to march in the Krewe of Isis parade. This was not only a simple parade, but also an exhibition competition that drew bands from all over south-eastern Louisiana. The "Eagles", as the students from the Salesian school are nicknamed, ranked first.
