India – Students of Salesian institutes united to raise awareness, through radio, about the Sustainable Development Goals

Siliguri, India – January 2024 – In recent days, communication and journalism students of the Salesian Institute in Siliguri and the Don Bosco school in Oodlabari, in the nearby district of Jalpaiguri, have come together to produce short radio dramas, a genre of radio fiction, to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals. A team of six students has already recorded the first episode, focusing on Goal 16: "Peace, justice and strong institutions". The program will then be officially launched on 13 February, on the occasion of World Radio Day and will be broadcast on "Salesian Radio 90.8 FM", the first university community radio in North Bengal and throughout northeast India.
