Kafubu, Democratic Republic of the Congo – December 2023 – The Youth Ministry of the Central African Province (AFC), organised the traditional formation session for young oratory leaders from 26 to 31 December. It brought together a total of 538 participants under the theme "Tujenge Pamoja" (Swahili term meaning "let's build together"). The two largest institutes in Kafubu – Kwesu for girls and Ima for boys – hosted these young people, all aged between 15 and 21 and from Lubumbashi and other cities outside Upper Katanga Province. The aim was to teach participants how to accompany other young people during oratory activities and during holidays. At the end of the meeting, Fr Guillermo Basañes, AFC Provincial, also spoke, celebrating Mass and farewelling those present with a closing talk.
