New Delhi, India – December 2023 – Sunday 10 December, on the occasion of World Human Rights Day, promoted by the United Nations, the"All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties and Social Justice" (the Indian Committee for Human Rights, Freedoms and Social Justice) conferred on the Archbishop Emeritus of Guwahati, Archbishop Thomas Menamparampil, SDB, the prestigious Peace Prize "Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam World Peace Award-2023". The award was presented during a well-attended ceremony held at the Indian Islamic Cultural Centre on Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
