Bellflower, United States – December 2023 - The Youth Ministry team of the Salesian Province of the United States West (SUA) met at St John Bosco High School on 2 December, , beginning the day with a Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Provincial Delegate of Youth Ministry, Fr Fabian Cárdenas. Participants were invited to reflect on the significant moments experienced with young people throughout the year, highlighting personal highlights and preparing their hearts for the time of Advent. The agenda continued with an in-depth review of job descriptions for the Youth Ministry Commissions (CYM) in SUO Province, initiated by the Youth Centres CYM. The team worked collaboratively to create, edit and update these descriptions, addressing key points and ensuring alignment with the goals of the Salesian mission. Among the topics discussed: the Synod of Heads of the Salesian Youth Movement convened by the Rector Major in 2024; Youth Ministry and Integral Ecology; ongoing programmes and initiatives to foster a sense of unity and collaboration within the Salesian Family.
