Lawaan, The Philippines - October 2023 - On Tuesday, 24 October, a Curatorium meeting was held at the "Don Bosco" Retreat Centre in Lawaan, bringing together 5 Salesian Provinces of the Region of East Asia-Oceania to discuss the formation at the Pre-Novitiate and the Novitiate housed at the "Don Bosco Formation Centre - Lawaan" (DBFC). The Curatorium was moderated by Fr Fidel Orendain (the Provincial of the Southern Philippines Province) and chaired by Fr Joseph Nguyen Thinh Phuoc (the Councillor for the Asia-East Oceania Region). Others who participated were: Fr Gerardo Martin (Provincial of the Northern Philippines Province -FIN), Fr Adrian Mendoza (Delegate of the Formation Commission of the Southern Philippines Province -FIS & Rector of the Pre-novitiate), Fr Roneldo Vilbar (Novice Master), Fr Adriano Satura (Provincial Economer FIS), Fr Rhine Marco Bollozos (member of the FIS Formation Team), Fr Eligio Cruz (Rector of the Philosophate FIN), Fr Jake Adrian Lopez  (Delegate for Formation FIN), Fr Paul Dunca (Principal - DBFC Philosophate) Fr Anthony Nguyen (Regional Delegate for Formation), Fr Leo Neng Khan Mang  (Vice Superior of the Myanmar Vice Province MYM), Gregorio Bicomong (Superior of the Vice Province of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands PGS), Fr Eugene Xalxo (Delegate for Cambodia - belonging to the Province of Thailand THA), Br John Dominic Coral (for the Province of Thailand THA) and John Dominic Coral (Secretary of the Curatorium). Many topics were discussed, including the report on the state of the DBFC Reservation, proposals to improve courses and the preparation of Formators and Professors.
