Santiago, Chile - October 2023 - From 13 to 18 October at the Lo Cañas Spirituality Centre, the Meeting of the Provincial Delegates of Youth Ministry of America will be held on the theme "Dreaming and walking together". The event is led by Fr Miguel Angel García Morcuende, the General Councillor for Youth Ministry, in the presence of Fr Joan Lluís Playà, Central Delegate of the Rector Major for the Secretariat for the Salesian Family, Fr Rafael Bejarano, Delegate for Social Works and Migrants of the Youth Ministry Sector, and Fr Manuel Jiménez, the World Delegate for Volunteers of Don Bosco. The aim of the meeting is to help discern the Salesian mission in the American continent, through the sharing of experiences and strategies developed in the various Provinces. During the days, various themes will be explored in order to get to know the path taken by the Youth Ministry and help to choose the next steps in this important service. Some of the topics covered are: Salesian Family; Salesian Missions under Lay Collaborators; Oratory and Youth centres for a Pastoral Ministry that Educates to Love; Formation for Shared Mission; and the role of the Salesians in the educative-pastoral community, in social works and networking.
