Lorena, Brazil - August 2023 - On 22 August, the Councillor for the America South Cone Region, Fr Gabriel Romero, presided over the Curatorium of the Lorena post-novitiate, which brought together Fr Francisco Inácio, Superior of the Province of Brazil-Recife (BRE); Fr Justo Ernesto Piccinini, Superior of the Province of Brazil-São Paulo (BSP); Fr Jefferson Luis Santos, Superior of the Province of Brazil-Manaus (BMA) and Fr Ademir Ricardo Cwendrich, Superior of the Province of Brazil-Porto Alegre. During the meeting, together with the formators, they were able to assess the pastoral and intellectual dimension of formation, and reports were presented by the Rector and the Community Economer. Aspects of spirituality and accompaniment were also discussed. In the afternoon, the Salesians in formation presented their evaluation, followed by a meeting with the Regional Councillor and the Provincials. At the end, the final report of the Curatorium's annual evaluation was read out, assessing the progress of this inter-provincial formation house.
