Lisbon, Portugal - 4 August 2023 - On the third morning of catechesis, the young people were invited to reflect on Mercy, rereading their lives, in a time of adoration, personal dialogue and reconciliation with God. “Rise up” is the new catechesis model of World Youth Day (WYD). This year’s edition offered three meetings, organized in close collaboration with the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, on the mornings of 2, 3 and 4 August. The themes chosen were Integral Ecology, Social Friendship and, finally, Mercy. These meetings of reflection and sharing took place in about 270 different spaces, in more than 30 languages. The parish of St Constable was one of these venues and hosted the Spanish-speaking meetings.
