The app was developed by Tomás Pinto, a 20-year-old from the Salesian Youth Movement. Currently studying Computing and Web Development in Buckinghamshire, England, Tomás began his journey in the SYM in 2018. Although far away, he is currently an animator at the Salesian Youth Centre in Bicesse, where “there is always an atmosphere of celebration and communion with God” and helps coordinate the social networks of the SYM in Portugal.
“We are excited to present the WYD DON BOSCO 23 app, which serves as a digital companion for our pilgrims throughout their journey in Lisbon. Designed to be simple to use, the app aims to improve the experience of each participant, working as a complement to the official WYD Lisbon 2023 app”, says Miguel Mendes, coordinator of the WYD DON BOSCO 23 communication team.
