Bolivia – Retreat for Salesians, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and the Daughters of the Divine Saviour
Bolivia – July 2023 - From Sunday 25 June to Saturday 15 July, the Salesian Family of Bolivia, specifically the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) and the Daughters of the Divine Saviour (SDS), experienced three weeks of spiritual renewal and a time of greater listening and comparison with the Will of God, through their Retreat. In harmony with the synodal journey of the Church, after a long pause due to the pandemic, they came together as a charismatic Family to experience these strong moments of openness to the voice of God in the communion and fraternity of the Holy Spirit. On this occasion, the three sessions were led by Fr Manuel Cayo, an Argentine Salesian, former Provincial of Peru, Argentina North and Novice Director. His rich Salesian experience accompanying many communities and different situations, in addition to his characteristic joy and good humour, encouraged the participants and spurred them to carry out a daily lectio vitae in the light of the Word, the Regulations and the recently canonised Artemides Zatti. With the exception of the first week, the first session in which only the SDBs participated, the second and third were opened to the enriching presence of the aforementioned branches of the Salesian Family, with their special charismatic features and the unique richness of their gifts. To facilitate the involvement of some men and women religious, the last week of the retreat took place at the María Auxiliadora school in Montero (Santa Cruz). The previous ones had been held at the Fátima-Don Bosco event centre in Cochabamba.
