Subsequently, each of the participants presented themselves and the Provincial Delegate for Social Communication, Vicente Fritz, explored strategic communication and configuration of the various Social Communication departments. The following issues were addressed during the first day of the conference: the environmental priority, the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival, editorial criteria for the press office and the Salesian Bulletin. Work ended with a visit to the Ceteratolle Multimedia Centre. On the second day, group work took place on the roles and functions responsible for school communication and the revamping of school websites. The Salesian support and archiving platform was also explored. According to Vicente Fritz, it was a very positive and important experience for a better understanding of tasks to do with this sector of the Salesian mission, in its strategic and operational dimensions.
Chile – Strategic and operational dimension of communication in the Salesian mission
Santiago, Chile – June 2023 – Representatives of the Salesian Schools Network were involved in the Salesian Schools Chile’s Day of Communicators, held at the Provincial House from 31 May 31 to 1 June. The event, organised by the Communications team, was aimed at providing guidance on some of the communication projects carried out by the Salesian Province of Chile, as well as promoting the collaborative and networking work of the various educative and pastoral communities. The meeting began with a moment of formation and prayer, led by Lorena Basualto and Marcela Vera, representatives of the Youth Ministry team, who explored the Letter from Rome and the Expressive System, Don Bosco’s communicative ecosystem.
