San Pedro Carchá, Guatemala - May 2023 - On 27 May in the chapel of the Don Bosco Center, Salesian Marcos Tomás Velásquez was ordained a priest through the laying on of hands and consecratory prayer of Bishop Rodolfo Valenzuela Núñez, SDB, Bishop of the Diocese of Verapaz. The ceremony was attended by parents, relatives, friends of the new priest, and a good number of Salesians from the Guatemalan Salesian works, as well as from the Qeqchí ethnic community.
