Prague, Czech Republic - May 2023 - On May 1, Salesian Filip Mares was ordained a priest through the laying on of hands and consecratory prayer of Bishop Karel Herbst, SDB, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Prague. The event was attended by more than 70 Salesians, some who came from Turin, originally from four African countries, who studied with Filip Mares at the Turin-Crocetta Theological Studentate; others from Slovakia; members of the Salesian Cooperators and Volunteers of Don Bosco; and numerous faithful from around Prague and from around the country. Prior to the ordination, the Provincial meeting of the Bohemian Salesians was held, and after the celebration they celebrated with others in the courtyard of the Salesian presence in Prague-Kobylisy.
