Maitencillo, Chile - April 2023 - In the Salesian Colony of Maitencillo, from Friday, March 31 to Sunday, April 2, a new version of "Youth Easter," a significant proposal of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) of Chile, was held. The event aimed to enable young people to "convert" in the Salesian style, fostering an encounter with Jesus Christ and in an atmosphere of fraternal sharing of life and faith. María José Urrutia, SYM Councilor, evaluated this experience positively: "The young people were very willing to participate in each of the moments organized. From the organizing team, we say we are very happy that the young people realize that this is a space for them," she added. "Youth Easter" brought together young animators, leaders and educators from various Salesian works and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Chile and was carried out by the SYM National Council, composed of SDB and FMA members who prepared each moment. The appointment was part of the activities to strengthen the formation process of the young people who lead and animate the different groups belonging to the SYM and contribute to the growth process of the SYM envisaged by the 2022-2025 Triennial Programming.
