Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo - February 2023 - The youth of the Salesian Missionary Group in Kinshasa celebrated a day of fraternity last February 19. This day came about as a response to the call of Pope Francis who, during his visit to the country, sent a strong message to young people. “My friends,” the Holy Father had said, “do not let your youth be ruined by loneliness and closure.” The day began with a time of prayer, led by Fr. Christian Balabakeba. Immediately afterward, Fr. Jacques Isha offered a general presentation of the Missionary Group. Then, to seal the fraternity, the missionaries exchanged gifts with each other and concluded the day with a moment of conviviality, which made the young people experience Salesian joy and reminded them of the group's motto: “Together, we have the courage of mission.”
