Brazil - First religious profession of twelve Salesians from three Provinces

Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Brazil - January 2023 - On January 30, in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in the Salesian colony of São Sebastião, twelve Salesians made their first religious profession in the hands of Fr. Pascual Chávez, Rector Major Emeritus. The newly professed belong to the following Salesian Provinces: five from Brazil-São Paulo (BSP), six from Brazil-Recife (BRE), and one from Brazil-Porto Alegre. Present at the celebration were Fr. Justo Ernesto Piccinini, BSP Provincial, Fr. Gilson Marcos da Silva, BPA Provincial, and Fr. Francisco Inácio, BRE Provincial.
