Two years after the previous edition, held at the "Jean Bosco" Center in Lyon in May 2021, the meeting will serve to renew among all those present the profound meaning of the activities carried out by the DBAS network.
What is the network’s originality? "In our desire to reconcile Christian inspiration (benevolence in the double sense of wanting good and taking care of the little ones) and respect for secularism (based on openness to all and respect for each one's philosophical and religious convictions),” explains Fr. Petitclerc. In this way, he combines the vision of the network, concerning "the implementation of Don Bosco's pedagogy, based on trust ("Without affection, there is no trust and without trust there is no education", quoting the Founder of the Salesians) and on the alliance (methodology by which each young person is considered as a key player involved in the fulfillment of the educational project).
The theme that will be the guideline for this third meeting of the network is "The meaning of engagement in the DBAS network". The sessions and work activities will take place at the Lemonnier Institute and AMIG 14 (Association Maison Internationale Garelli 14, responsible for the reception, schooling, training, and integration of unaccompanied minors in the Department of Calvados), as well as on the premises of the "Foyer Père Robert" and the "Œuvre Notre Dame". The closing ceremony of the assembly will instead take place in the auditorium of the Normandy Regional Council. Charlotte Caubel, Secretary of State for Children, was invited to attend the occasion.
